Gluten-Free French Apple Cake | Oats and Bananas
Ingredients
- 4 Large eggs
- 3.53 oz (100 g) granulated sugar
- 2.12 oz (60 g) corn starch
- 2,12 oz (60 g) old-fashioned whole rolled oats
- 1 tsp (4 g) baking powder
- 3.53 oz (100 g) milk
- 6 apples (I used golden apples)
- 4 bananas
Instructions
- Line a 9-inch (22 cm) round baking dish like you would usually do, set aside. NOTE: For this recipe, I used my large round mold from bon COOK placed on top of a medium perforated baking sheet.
- Preheat oven to 320℉/160℃.
FRENCH APPLE CAKE PREPARATION
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs together with the sugar.4 Large eggs, 3.53 oz granulated sugar
- Mix in the corn starch, baking powder and milk until the corn starch is combined. Then, add the oats.2.12 oz corn starch, 2,12 oz old-fashioned whole rolled oats, 1 tsp baking powder, 3.53 oz milk
- Add the sliced apples and give it a gentle stir in order for the apples to be coated. Then, add the sliced bananas and do the same, gently.NOTE: You have much more fruits than batter it is perfectly normal, it will settle when it is baing baked in the oven.Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.6 apples, 4 bananas
BAKE!
- Bake for 50 minutes at 320℉/160℃. (Every oven heats differently, monitor your cake from 45 minutes). It is ready when the toothpick inserted comes out clean with little to no crumbs.
- Once your French Apple Cake is out of the oven, let it cool down completly before taking it out from the mold. Enjoy & Bon Appétit!NOTE: The cake keeps well refrigerated for up to 2 days.
