Mozzarella Savory Cakes Trio
Mom and Dad, always taught me that we should have zero waste in the kitchen.
Therefore growing-up with that mentality, I always enjoyed baking savory cakes as it is an opportunity to clean up my pantry.
I Love, Love, Love the 3-almond loaf tray. One of the main reasons I love it so much it is because if I wish to make three things of the same (“Eat One, Save One, Share One”) I can. And if I wish to make it all different, I also can.
These Mozzarella Savory Cakes Trio, come in Ham & Cheese, Mint & Mozzarella and Zucchini Bell Peppers.

Mozzarella Savory Cakes Trio

Ingredients
BATTER BASE
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup (100 ml) sweet basil olive oil (LINK under Equipment)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
- 7 oz (200 g) flour (Sifted)
- 2.5 tsp (12 g) baking powder (Sifted)
HAM & CHEESE LOAF
- 6 oz (170 g) ham steak (Dicced)
- 1/2 cup (50 g) shredded mozzarella
MINT & MOZZARELLA LOAF
- 1 oz (30 g) fresh mint (Chopped)
- 1/2 cup (50 g) sliced mozzarella
ZUCCHINI & BELL PEPPERS LOAF
- 1 zucchini (Chopped)
- 1 bell pepper (Chopped)
- 1/2 cup (50 g) shredded mozzarella
Instructions
- Preheat oven at 375F/190C.
BATTER BASE
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, sweet basil olive oil and milk.
- Using a spatula, slowly add flour and baking powder. Set aside.
HAM & CHEESE LOAF
- On a chopping board, cut the ham into small cubes, and place them in a separate bowl with the shredded mozzarella.
- Add 1/3 of the batter base, and mix well with the spatula. Set aside.
MINT & MOZZARELLA LOAF
- Wash and towel dry the mint leaves then slice them into small pieces, and place them in a separate bowl with the chopped mozarella.
- Add 1/3 of the batter base, and mix well with the spatula. Set aside.
ZUCCHINI & BELL PEPPERS LOAF
- Wash and dice the zucchini and bell peppers into small cubes, and place them in a separate bowl with the shredded mozzarella.
- Add 1/3 of the batter base, and mix well with the spatula. Set aside.
ASSEMBLY
- On your workstation, place the perforated baking sheet and the Flexipan® on top.
- Respectively, pour your preparations in each mold, by spreading gently until smooth.
- Bake for 35 minutes at 375F/190C. (Every oven heats differently, monitor your cake from 25min)
- Once your savory cakes are out of the oven, let them cool down for about 10min. Then, Unmold, Serve and Enjoy! Bon Appétit!
