Blue, White and Red Crinkle Cookies
I originally created this recipe for the 2022 World Cup, supporting France into the Finals! It has been since 1998 that France was playing in the Finals for the FIFA world cup. The whole country was lifted when they won, I was incredible, I have such found memories of this time.
24 years later “Les Bleus” are back on the field against Argentina this time. I am beyond excited for France, and thought it was only fitted to make some Patriotic Crinkles. See you on the Field! “Allez Les Bleus”!

Blue, White and Red Crinkle Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 Tbsp (20 g) vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup (55 g) Vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup (150 g) sugar
- 1 1/2 cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/16 tsp (0.38 g) sea salt
- 1/3 tsp (1.64 g) Food Coloring gel (Blue)
- 1/3 tsp (1.64 g) Food Coloring gel (White)
- 1/3 tsp (1.64 g) Food Coloring gel (Red)
- 3/4 cup (90 g) powdered sugar (For Dusting)
Instructions
CRINKLE COOKIES PREPARATION
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg, vanilla extract, vegetable oil and sugar. Sprinkle the all-purpose flour, baking powder and sea salt. Fold until combined.
- Split your dough into 3 smaller bowl (Mine weighted: 16.22oz/3=5.40oz | 460g/3=155g).
- In each bowl, mix in the food colorants respectively: Blue, White and Red. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
ASSEMBLY
- Take your dough out of the refrigerator. Scoop 1 teaspoon of blue dough and roll it between the palm of your hands. Repeat with the white and red dough.
- Then, roll them all together into the powdered sugar. Transfer each one of them directly onto your bonMAT™ spaced out.
BAKE!
- Preheat oven to 350F/180C. Place the Large bonMAT™ on the top of your Large perforated baking sheet.
- Bake for 12 minutes at 350F/180C. (Every oven heats differently, monitor your Crinkles from 10min). You will know your cookies are ready once you see the crack around and lightly golden.
- Once your Blue, White and Red Crinkle Cookies are out of the oven, let them completely cool down before handling them. Enjoy with a nice cup of Tea or Coffee! Bon appétit!
