Nutella Valentine’s XO “French Crêpes”
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1.23 oz (35 g) butter (Melted)
- 7.58 oz (215 g) milk (Lukewarm)
- 4.41 oz (125 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/16 tsp (0.38 g) sea salt
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 g) vanilla bean paste
- 1 egg
- 2.61 oz (74 g) nutella
- 2 Tbsp (20 g) sprinkles (Valentine Edition)
Instructions
FRENCH "CRÊPES" PREPARATION
- Place butter and milk in a small sauce pan. Heat on low until the milk is lukewarm and butter has almost melted. Set aside.1.23 oz butter, 7.58 oz milk
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well, add the egg together with the warm milk/butter and the vanilla bean paste. Start mixing for the center going outwards taking a little bit of flour at a time. NOTE: This is the secret to get a batter with no lumps!4.41 oz all-purpose flour, 1/16 tsp sea salt, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
- Transfer your batter into a squeaky bottle with a thin nozzle on.
COOK!
- Heat your Pancake pan on a medium heat 5 minutes prior starting making your "Crêpes".
- When ready, lightly oil the surface with a kitchen towel and squeeze the batter in your pan into "X" and "O" shapes. NOTE: When writing try to get the letters to be of the same size.
- Once one side is cooked, flip it over. Cook it for a few seconds more. Set aside to cool down.
ASSEMBLY
- Arrange half of the XO crêpes onto your service platter. Pipe a little Nutella tracing the shape of the letters. Then, place the remaining half the XO crêpes on top of their match. Repeat the Nutella on top and add Valentine's timed sprinkles. Enjoy & Bon Appétit!2.61 oz nutella, 2 Tbsp sprinkles
