If you have been following me for a while, you must know how much I enjoy the recipes from Samar (@mes_inspirations_culinaires). However, something you might not know is that we are both part of a fantastic Facebook Group tests de recettes entre blogueurs. This January 2023 our Group Challenge is to pick “ANY RECIPE” from another blogger who is celebrating their birthday this month. Hence, I chose Samar’s chicken recipe. Roasted Chicken with Grapes & Honey

This oven-roasted chicken is perfect for an easy dinner night: It requires minimal preparation and tastes delicious!

Ingredients
 

  • 1 free-range chicken
  • 8 oz (225 g) seedless green grapes
  • 2 Tbsp (40 g) Greek Honey
  • 3 Tbsp (40 g) Greek Olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp (2 g) Zaatar Herbs (My own addition to the original recipe)
  • 2 sweet onions (Quartered)
  • 10 oz (280 g) carrots (My own addition to the original recipe)
  • Sel Gris Mill
  • Pepper Mill

Instructions
 

CHICKEN PREPARATION

  • In a small bowl, mix in the Greek honey, Za'atar and olive oil. Season with Salt and Pepper.
    • Save
  • Coat your grapes with your Honey preparation. Place half of the grapes into the cavity of your chicken, the rest around on your Flexipat®. Add the remaining honey preparation between the skin and meat by giving it a little massage.

  • Cut your onion into quarter, along with the peeled carrots. Arrange them around your chicken.

ROAST!

  • Roast for 45 minutes at 425F/225C. Then, drop your temperature to 375F/190C and continue roasting for another 30 minutes. (Every oven heats differently and all chicken are not of the same safe: Use the Digital Thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked through at 165°F/75C.

  • Once your Roasted Chicken with Grapes & Honey is out of the oven, let it sit for 10 minutes. Then, Serve and Enjoy! Bon appétit!

    • Avec plaisir ma Samar et merci a toi pour la recette! J’avais l’impression de manger des raisins confits tellement ils étaient bons! Mon poulet a eu un peu chaud LOL mais il était tendre a souhait. Je te souhaite une belle fin de weekend et merci de toujours m’encourager! Grosses Bises ~Nessa
