Croque Monsieur XXL

This is my XXL version of my Croque Monsieur Recipe. And where else to bake it than in my New Rectangular Flexipat® Tray? It is so Creamy and Delicious!

Croque Monsieur XXL

Ingredients
 

BÉCHAMEL SAUCE

  • 4 Tbsp (60 g) butter
  • 3 tbsp (45 g) flour (Heaping)
  • 2 3/4 cups (700 g) milk
  • Truffle Salt (Season to Taste)
  • Madagascar Pepper (Season to Taste)

CROQUE MONSIEUR

  • 15 slices Milk bread
  • 15 slices Colby Jack Cheese
  • 15 slices ham
  • 1 cup Grated Cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven at 375F/190C.

BÉCHAMEL SAUCE

  • In a sauce pan, heat butter on medium until melted. Then add, flour.
  • Add salt and pepper (season to taste), and whisk in the milk. Continue to whisk until the Béchamel thickens (10-15min)
  • Once the Béchamel is ready, set aside.

CROQUE MONSIEUR

  • Spread some of the Béchamel at the bottom of the Flexipat®. then cover with the bread.
  • Spread some Bechamel on the bread, cover with a slice of cheese, a slice of ham and a slice of bread.
  • Finally, cover with the rest of the Béchamel. Sprinkle some grated cheese on top.
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 375F/190C. (Every oven heats differently, monitor your Croque Monsieur from 10min)
  • Once your Croque Monsieur is out of the oven, let it cool down for about 5min. Then, Serve and Enjoy! Bon Appétit!
