Traditional Greek Salad (Horiatiki)

This Traditional Greek Salad is made with fresh and simple ingredients, just like we eat it back home in Crete.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cucumber (Large | Washed | Sliced)
  • 4 Tomatoes (Medium | Washed | Core Removed | Sliced)
  • 1 sweet onion (Sliced into Wedges)
  • 5 oz (140 g) Feta Cheese (1 Block | Unbroken)
  • 1/4 cup (35 g) Kalamata Olives
  • 3 Tbsp (28 g) French EVOO
  • 1/2 Tbsp (8.5 g) Greek Feta Herbs
  • Lavender Salt

Instructions
 

  • Wash your cucumber and tomatoes under cold water.
  • Chop the ends of your cucumber and peel some of the skin. Using your Santuko Knife, slice your cucumber (not too thin, not too thick). Set aside.
  • Remove the core of your tomatoes and cut into small wedges. Set aside.
  • Cut the extremities of your onion and peal the first layer off. Then cut it into wedges.
  • Mix the sliced cucumbers, tomatoes and sweet onion directly in your serving plater. Add the block of Feta cheese on top with the Kalamata olives around. Generously pour the olive oil on your salad and sprinkle the Greek herbs and Salt. Your Greek Salad is ready to be enjoyed. Bon Appétit!
