Tomato and Feta Cheese Tartlets

These Tomato and Feta Cheese Tartlets are super easy to make and are the perfect appetizer to share with your guests!

Ingredients
 

HOMEMADE OLIVE OIL PIE DOUGH (MAKES 1)

  • 7 oz (200 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 oz (60 g) Greek olive oil
  • 2 1/3 oz (65 g) Bottled Water (At Room Temperature)
  • 2 tsp (4 g) Greek oregano

TARTLET FILLING

  • 1 Tomato (Diced | Original recipe uses Cherry Tomatoes)
  • 2 oz (55 g) Feta Cheese (Diced)
  • 1 egg (Large)
  • 1/3 cup (65 g) Greek yogurt (Original recipe calls for Sour Cream)
  • 1/2 Tbsp (7.5 g) milk
  • 1 tsp (5 g) tomato herb mustard
  • 1 tsp (2 g) Greek oregano (Original recipe calls for Dried Thyme)
  • Sel Gris Mill (Season to Taste)
  • Pepper Mill (Season to Taste)

Instructions
 

  • Place your Tartlet Flexipan® Tray on the top of your Medium Perforated Baking Sheet. Set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 350F/180C.

HOMEMADE OLIVE OIL PIE DOUGH (MAKES 1)

  • In a mixing bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and olive oil together with your spatula. Add the water and Greek Feta Herbs. Mix to combine.

TARTLET PREPARATION

  • Roll the pie dough on the Roul'Pat®, and cut the shapes with your Oval Dough Cutter. Place each one over every well and use the Shaper to keep it centered. Lightly pierce your pastry with a fork. Reserve in the refrigerator.
  • In a mixing bowlwhisk together the egg with the Greek yogurt, milk, tomato herb Mustard and Greek oregano. Season with Salt and Pepper (To taste). 
  • Take your Tartlet Tray out of the refrigerator.
  • Pour your Preparation on the top of the pastry. Arrange your diced tomatoes and Feta on top. Sprinkle with more Greek oregano.

BAKE!

  • Bake for 15 minutes at 350F/180C. (Every oven heats differently, monitor your tartlets from 12 minutes).
  • Once your Tomato and Feta Cheese Tartlets are out of the oven, let them cool down for about 10 minutes before demolding onto your service platter. Enjoy as an appetizer or with a green salad on the side. Bon Appétit!
