Made with only a handful of ingredients, these Strawberry Poppy Seed Cakes are the perfect tea cakes to enjoy with your favorite beverage!

Ingredients
 

  • 3 tbsp (40 g) butter (Melted)
  • 2 eggs (Large)
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp (40 g) sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) almond flour
  • 2 Tbsp (15 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp (3 g) poppy seeds
  • 5 (60 g) strawberries (Washed | Pat dry | Quartered)

Instructions
 

POPPY SEED ALMOND CAKE PREPARATION

  • Place butter in a small sauce pan and heat on low until melted. Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk rapidly with eggs together with the sugar, almond flour, all-purpose flour, poppy seed using your mini whisk. Then, add the cooled melted butter. Mix until combined.
  • Scoop your batter into your Tartlet Tray (about one large tablespoon). Then, arrange your quartered strawberries on top.

BAKE!

  • Bake for 12 minutes at 350F/180C. (Every oven heats differently, monitor your financiers from 10 minutes). It is ready when the toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Once your Strawberry Poppy Seed Almond Cakes are out of the oven, let them cool down for about 10 minutes. Then, lift to unmold, serve and Enjoy with your favorite coffee or tea. Bon Appétit!
