Ingredients

  • 30 mini mozzarella balls
  • 10 oz (285 g) Grape Tomatoes
  • 1/2 Tbsp French EVOO
  • 1 tsp Balsamic Barrel Aged Vinegar
  • Sel Gris Mill
  • Fresh Basil
  • fresh sage leaves

Instructions

MOZZARELLA PREPARATION

  • Place the mini mozzarella balls into a microwave safe bowl. Heat for 15 seconds at a time until they are soft to the touch and lightly melted (45 seconds for me). NOTE: The cooking time will depend on the size of the mozzarella you use.
    30 mini mozzarella balls
  • Remove the bowl from the microwave and drain the water. Take 2 balls of mozzarella at a time and press them down into each well of the skull mold. NOTE: It will release additional liquid, that's normal. Press down a kitchen towel on top to absorb and refrigerate while preparing the salad.

ASSEMBLY

  • Slice your washed grape tomatoes (I like mine 1/2 sliced lengthwise and 1/2 sliced across). Season with the French EVOO, Balsamic and sel gris. Add Fresh Basil and Sage on top. Enjoy your Spooky Skeletons Caprese Salad! "BONE" Appétit!
