7oz(200g)dark chocolate chips(I used Barry Callebaut Dark Chocolate 54.5%)
11tbsp(150g)butter (Melted)
3 1/2tbsp(50g)milk
5eggs
2/3cup(135g)sugar(Original recipe calls for 1 cup/200g)
3/4cup(93g)flour
1tbsp(7g)flour
1tbsp(12g)baking powder
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F/180C.
Pour your milk into a medium saucepan. Add the dark chocolate and butter. Heat on medium low until the butter is almost melted. Set aside and whisk until combined.
Separate egg yolks from egg whites in two mixing bowls.
In the first mixing bowl, whisk together the Egg Yolks with the Sugar until light and fluffy. About 5 minutes on medium high speed. Fold the cooled melted chocolate preparation, flour and baking powder.
In the second mixing bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks. Then, using a spatula carefully fold it into your first preparation.
Bake for 30 minutes at 350F/180C. (Every oven heats differently, monitor your chocolate cake from 25min). It is ready when the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Once your Chocolate Cake is out of the oven, let it cool down for about 10 minutes, then unfold it onto your service plate. Enjoy & Bon Appétit.
