Ingredients

  • 5.60 oz (160 g) blue raspberry Jell-O (Family-size)
  • 3 oz (85 g) strawberry Jell-O
  • 3 oz (85 g) strawberry banana Jell-O
  • boiling / spring water (According to each package instructions)
  • cold / spring water (According to each package instructions)

Instructions

  • Set aaside a 9 x 13-inch | 24 x 30 cm rectangular baking dish.
NOTE: For this recipe, I used my Pyrex 9 x 13. Set aside.

BLUE LAYER PREPARATION

  • Prepare the family-size Blue Raspberry Jell-O according to the package directions.
    Pour into a 9 × 13-inch baking dish.
Refrigerate for 4 hours, or until completely set.
5.60 oz blue raspberry Jell-O, boiling / spring water, cold / spring water

STRAWBERRY LAYER PREPARATION

  • Prepare the Strawberry Jell-O according to the package directions.
Carefully pour it over the blue layer.
Refrigerate for another 4 hours until firm.
3 oz strawberry Jell-O, boiling / spring water, cold / spring water

STRAWBERRY BANANA PREPARATION

  • Prepare the Strawberry Banana Jell-O according to the package directions.
    Pour over the strawberry layer.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, until the gelatin is fully set.
3 oz strawberry banana Jell-O, boiling / spring water, cold / spring water

HOW TO REMOVE THE JELL-O FROM THE DISH

  • Once all three layers are completely set, take the Jell-O out of the refrigerator.
Fill a large sink or bowl with warm (not hot) water.
Place the bottom of the baking dish in the warm water for 10–15 seconds, being careful not to let any water spill over the top.
Remove the dish from the water and gently pull one corner of the Jell-O with your fingers or a small spatula. If it doesn’t release easily, return the dish to the warm water for another 5–10 seconds.
Once loosened, carefully flip the Jell-O over a cutting board.
Cut the Jell-O into bite-sized cubes or strips before freezing.
NOTE: Do not leave the dish in the warm water for too long, or the edges of the Jell-O may begin to melt and lose their sharp, clean layers.

FREEZE!

  • Arrange the Jell-O pieces in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet or freezer-safe tray.
Freeze overnight, or until completely frozen solid.

SERVE

  • Transfer the frozen Jell-O strips to a serving bowl or freezer-safe container.
Enjoy them straight from the freezer! Bite into the frozen strips and let them melt in your mouth for a refreshing, slushy texture.
NOTE: The frozen Jell-O starts out firm but quickly softens as you eat it, creating a cool, slush-like treat that is perfect for hot summer days. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months. Enjoy & Bon Appétit!
