Ingredients
 

BLOOD ORANGE FRENCH ALMOND CAKES

  • 5.29 oz (150 g) butter (Melted)
  • 6.53 oz (185 g) powdered sugar
  • 3.53 oz (100 g) almond flour
  • 2.29 oz (65 g) all-purpose flour
  • 5 (150 g) egg whites
  • 1 blood orange zest
  • 2.12 oz (60 g) Blood Orange juice (From 1 Blood Orange, save a tbsp for the glaze)

BLOOD ORANGE GLAZE

  • 2.12 oz (60 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp (15 g) Blood Orange juice

Instructions
 

FRENCH ALMOND CAKES PREPARATION

  • Place butter in a small sauce pan and heat on low until melted. Set aside.

  • In a mixing bowl, mix in the powdered sugar, almond flour and all-purpose flour. Make a well, add the egg whites, blood orange zest/juice and the cooled melted butter. Mix until combined.
    6.53 oz powdered sugar, 3.53 oz almond flour, 2.29 oz all-purpose flour, 5 egg whites, 1 blood orange zest, 2.12 oz Blood Orange juice
  • Scoop your batter into your Geo Tray.

BAKE!

  • Bake for 20 minutes at 350F/180C. (Every oven heats differently, monitor your Cakes from 18 minutes). It is ready when the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Once your Blood Orange French Almond Cakes are out of the oven, let it cool down completely in the mold. Then flip it over onto a cooling rack.

ORANGE GLAZE PREPARATION

  • Once your cakes have cooled down, prepare the blood orange glaze.
  • In small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar with the blood orange juice. Pour it right way on your cakes and decorate with a small piece of blood orange. Enjoy & Bon Appétit!
