Fat Tuesday Instant Yogurt Donuts

These yogurt donuts are Amazing! All you need is one minute to prepare these instant donuts! Toss them in glaze and decorate as you wish!

Ingredients
 

DONUT DOUGH

  • 1 cup (120 g) flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp (7 g) baking powder
  • 3/4 cup (190 g) strained yogurt

VANILLA GLAZE

  • 2 cups (240 g) Confectioners sugar
  • 5 Tbsp (75 g) butter (melted)
  • 3 Tbsp (45 g) milk
  • 1 tsp (5 g) Vanilla Extract
  • Food Colorant (Fat Tuesday Colors: Purple, Green and Golden Yellow )
  • Sprinkles (Fat Tuesday Colors: Purple, Green and Golden Yellow )

Instructions
 

DONUT DOUGH

  • In your mixing bowl combine flour, baking powder and yogurt.
    • Save
  • Tranfert the sticky dough in your pastry bag (Do not add extra flour). Let it rest for 30 minutes.
    • Save
  • Bring the oil to 340F/170C and fry the donuts in batches until golden. (To fry the donuts safely, pipe a dollop out of your pastry bag and use your Kitchen Scissors to cut the dough). Put your donuts on a kitchen towel while preparing the Vanilla Glaze.

VANILLA GLAZE

  • Place butter in a small sauce pan and heat on low until melted. Set aside.
  • Then, in a mixing bowl, whisk together the confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract, milk and cooled melted butter.
  • For Fat Tuesday, I have divided the glaze into three smaller bowls and added a different food colorant in each: Purple, Green and Golden Yellow.

  • Toss your Donuts in the glaze. Place them on a rack for the excess of glaze to drop and decorate with Sprinkles. The Glaze takes about 30 minutes to set. Then, Serve and Enjoy! Bon Appétit!
