Cara Cara Orange Panna Cotta
Equipment
Ingredients
- 4 gelatin sheets
- 3 cups (715 g) heavy whipping cream
- 2 orange zest (From 2 Cara Cara Oranges)
- 3 Tbsp (45 g) orange juice
- 1/2 cup (100 g) sugar
Instructions
- Place your Flexipan® Tree Mold on the top of your Medium Perforated Baking Sheet.
PANNA COTTA PREPARATION
- Place the gelatin in a small bowl full of cold water. Let it set for 10min.
- In the medium sauce pan, heat on medium low the heavy whipping cream, orange zest and juice, with the sugar. Continue to whisk until it starts boiling. Once it starts boiling, remove from heat and drop the scooped gelatin in. Stir until desolved. N.B. If you prefer not to keep the orange zest, pass your orange cream through the sieve, before going to the next step of the recipe.
FREEZE
- Pour the preparation into your Flexipan®, cover and freeze for a minimum of 4 hours (overnight is best).
- When ready, take your Flexipan® out of the freezer. Peel your panna cotta from the mold and transfer it directly onto your service platter. Decorate to your liking. Allow 30 minutes to defrost at room temperature, or more if refrigerated. Enjoy & Bon Appétit!
